Dallam & District Community Angling Group
General Rules
Membership shall be continuous and subscriptions paid in full to the treasurer or other person ominated
1. by the executive committee before the start of the season on 1st April. At such a time and place decided by the executive committee. Any
member wishing to resign their membership shall notify the
secretary in writing & return their membership card before
the start of a new season 1st April.

All our still waters and canals are open but may be closed
where considered necessary by the management committee.

Any member fishing club water shall produce his membership
card when required to do so by any bailiff or park ranger.

No member shall lend or transfer their membership to any
person whatsoever or there will be a penalty of exclusion.

Every member shall be in possession of a current environment
agency license. They must show this to a bailiff on request.

Due care and attention must be taken to other users of the
waters and surrounding park facilities. No equipment must
obstruct the pathways.

No keep nets are allowed except during official tenant matches.
Single barbless hooks only.
8
No damage to trees, bushes, fences, banks & the general
environment surrounding waters and no disturbance to wildlife.

Any member fishing in club waters with litter in their immediate
vicinity will be held responsible.

Bailiff or club officials instructions must be adhered to at all
times.

Members must not leave baited rods and lines in the water
unattended. If there is a need to leave your peg all tackle must
be removed from the water.

The executive committee shall be empowered to refuse at
time of subscription if t appears desirable to do so, after due
consideration suspend or expel any member who has acted
in any manner injurious or detrimental to this club.

All bailiffs & park rangers have the authority to examine all
bags & baskets on club waters.

Anyone fishing club waters must have a landing net.

On match days two clear pegs must be left open on each end
of the match.

No fishing between pegs.

Strictly no night fishing.

No tents or bivvy’s etc.

Strictly no tin cans on the bank, all corn meat etc must be in a bait box. NO EXCUSES, 21
No fires or barbecues.

No swimming, wading or boating.

Anyone found taking fish or introducing fish will be
prosecuted.

Any juniors under the age of 12 years must be
accompanied by a parent or guardian.

White pegs, rod & reel only. No whips, yellow pegs, rod,
reel, pole etc.

Dallam & District Angling Group accepts no responsibility
for loss or damage to any tackle, bikes etc.

Members fishing in any length allocated for matches will
be obliged to move if requested to do so by the match
secretary.

No alcohol of any description must be taken to any
Dallam & District group waters.
Abuse of this rule will result in the loss of your licence.

All rules & signs must be obeyed.
Match rules
1
All competitors must be members of the Dallam & District
Community Angling group and hold a current membership
card. Except in open matches where a day ticket must
be obtained.
No blood worm or joker
2
Keep nets only to be used in bonafide matches & be
regular size.
3
Single barbles hooks only, no double hooks.
4
No equipment to obstruct the pathways.
5
Pike will not be weighed in matches.
6
Rod only matches to be rod & reel only, no whips.
7
Each competitor shall fish their own drawn peg, its
boundaries being half distance to adjoining peg.
8
Competitors shall not loose feed or bait their swim
before start.
9
Each competitor to bait their own hook, strike and land
their own fish with the exception of disabled anglers
who may receive assistance landing fish.

No competitors shall move from their peg except for the
call of nature. Shall not approach/annoy or interfere with
any other competitor and if retiring from the match shall
not approach any other competitor.

After the signal to end the contest, competitors shall remain
st their pegs until the catch has been weighed & recorded,
they should produce their membership card if required to
do so by match officials.

Every competitor shall be in possession of a current
environment agency license, they must show this to a
bailiff on request.

The match secretary shall have the right to cancel any
match due to unforseen circumstances.

Any competitor not complying with these rules will be
disqualified & may be banned from future matches.

60’s and disabled matches shall be no more than

All competitors fishing a match, shall not fish match length
24 hours prior to match day.

Any angler wishing to fish matches must book on

Match secretary decision is final.
