
The sankey canal is based directly in the middle of the wooded area along sankey valley park the fishing places are from peg number one to peg number seven and is for rod and reel users only as it is a hazard to fish with a pole from peg eight to peg eighteen all types of angling may be used then from peg nineteen to peg thirty three are for rod and reel only and peg thirty four to sixty is for all angling and peg sixty to sixty seven are for rod and reel only peg sixty eight to one hundred and ten is all angling this is also clealy marked as the yellow marking represents all angling and white markings are for rod and reel angling.
There must be no fishing from peg one hundred and ten onwards fishing restarts from peg one hundred and eighty which is next to five bar gate on the tip road and is rod and reel fishing only this stretches all the way to the marina.
Opening times are when dawn breaks until dusk there must be NO NIGHT FISHIN

Stanners pool is located at the end of Calver Road in Winwick Quay it is a small pond which is well stocked by all differant types of fish have a look at our display board at the pond side and rules are also displayed for you to see this must be checked before fishing as certain rules are ammended during the year there are seventeen pegs to fish from and we have two specialy adapted for wheel chair use and two family use pegs days tickits are available from bailiffs who carry identification cards and they will issue you with a reciept children up to the age of sixteen and disabled and over sixtys is one pound and adults are two pound you must have a landing net to fish
